• The tournament will be played on the Japanese version, meaning Curse Seal Sasuke & Kyuubi Naruto aren’t separate selectable characters as they are in the American version.

Released on October 23rd of 2003 Narutimate Hero (or NH1 as so many fans call it) is the game the started it all! Probably the most overlooked game in the series due to lack of characters and cancels (shuriken, backdash, etc.), Nh1 is actually not to far from its descendants with a few tricks of it's own that were exclusive to this game only (for more info check out the nh1 crash course video)! This game also featured the first seal system which only allowed an opponent the chance to half the damage taken, not stop it, and ougi's were only stopped if the person who landed it failed to finish their seal sequence. (This system would be used again in the european version of Ultimate Ninja 2.) Sporting 12 characters (14 in America) not a bad start to what would become an amazing franchise.
