On December 22nd of 2005 NH fans were granted an early X-mas present they wouldn't soon forget. NH 3 hit the nh community with a bang as it boasted a whopping 42 characters and quite a few new features that would place this game as arguably one of the best nh games. In the ougi department we have the option to actually pick between which system you wanted for the ougi battles. Either seals, analog twirling or button mashing can be selected giving everyone a fair chance (though seals are the tournament method of choice). Next up is the ever famous bounce! A mechanic which allowed you to bounce your opponent off the walls and floor for longer more damaging combos and adding more skill to the game as you were forced to learn the escapes to them. And finally the transformations! Cool transformations which allowed you to play as one-tail kyuubi and curse seal 2 sasuke amongst a slew of others! Also added was the option to pick which ougi you wanted to enter battle with (think "select your super art" from the sf3 series) as well as different attributes and outcomes that would happen if you hit said ougi. While nh2 might have been the starting point, this game is without doubt what spring boarded it into the eyes of fighting game fans as well as fans of the show.
